Dr. Bert Mathieson, ND, MA, RD, LD, CDE is a naturopathic doctor, registered dietitian, certified diabetes educator, and he holds a certification in naturopathic acupuncture. He is a member of the New Hampshire Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NHAND), and was instrumental in getting legislation passed to obtain insurance coverage for naturopathic doctors in New Hampshire. Bert is a general family practitioner and applies the principles of naturopathic medicine to treat a wide range of conditions. There are five conditions in particular for which he has pursued extensive continuing education and has become known for treating. These conditions include: Lyme disease, cancer, autism, diabetes and sports performance enhancement through nutrition.
Kristi Mathieson, MS, RD, LD, CLT is a licensed dietician, exercise physiologist and, and certified leap therapist. Kristi completed her undergraduate and graduate training at the University of New Hampshire in kinesiology and nutrition. She comes to New Hampshire Natural Health Clinic with over 20 years experience in the health care industry beginning with a Senior Research position at Tufts Human Nutrition Research Center. Later she was a Clinical Food Service Director at Seacoast Health Center, a Senior Client Service Manager at Apothecom medical communications and an owner of a private health and wellness practice. Her primary interests lie in treating food allergies/sensitivities for IBS, migraine and fibromyalgia patients.
Kristi’s strong business and management expertise, customer service experience, and capacity for caring form a synergetic combination that offers customers of New Hampshire Natural Health Clinic high quality service and care. She is excited to be co-owner of the clinic and working with her brother to serve the greater Bedford community. Kristi is an avid runner, finishing the Boston Marathon three years in a row.
Dr. Meredith Murray, ND
Dr. Meredith Murray, ND is a licensed naturopathic doctor in the state of New Hampshire with training and knowledge in integrative primary care. She works with patients from adolescence onward with a broad focus in naturopathic care and special interests in digestive complaints,(specifically SIBO) homeopathy, stress management, healthy lifestyle changes, and women’s health. Dr. Murray’s extensive training includes a certificate in homeopathy and a certification in Holistic Pelvic Care™ from Tami Kent, MSPT. Holistic pelvic care (HPC) includes physical and energetic tools to evaluate and restore balance to the pelvic bowl of the female body.
Dr. Murray is dedicated to individualized care and helping to guide all patients where they are in their personal journey to wellness. She focuses her research on combining information from current scientific studies with the philosophies ingrained in naturopathic medicine to make the best positive impact on health, both for the individual and the community.
Prior to working at New Hampshire Natural Health Clinic, she graduated with her naturopathic doctorate degree from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon. After graduating, she completed a competitive and prestigious clinical residency program at NCNM where she saw upwards of 60 patients per week and worked in various community clinics providing comprehensive care to patients of various socio-economic statuses and backgrounds.
Outside of work, Dr. Murray enjoys spending time with her fiancé and dog at their house in the woods in Auburn, NH, as well as cooking, reading, and spending time with family.
Dr. Candice Scholl, N.D. is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in the state of New Hampshire. She sees patients of all ages including teenagers and children. Dr. Scholl uses science-based medicine as her foundation in her integrative practice and specializes in Hormone issues that can cause difficulties in: Lyme disease, decreased fertility, premature aging, PMS/PMDD, menopause, decreased libido, decreased testosterone production, erectile dysfunction, fatigue, depression, weight gain and digestive issues.
Before joining New Hampshire Natural Health Clinic, Dr. Scholl worked in Salem, NH. She earned her doctorate in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. While she attended Bastyr, she received specialized training in diabetes care, IV therapy, women’s health, geriatric health, pediatric care and digestive health. Prior to earning her doctorate, Dr. Scholl graduated for Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts with a degree in chemistry and biology. Outside of work, Dr. Scholl enjoys being active outdoors all-year round. She also enjoys lying in a hammock to read a good book, spending time with family and friends, cooking and using her creative side to get knee deep in craft projects.
Angela comes to New Hampshire Natural Health Clinic with years of customer service experience. Having worked in retail for many years she understands the importance of customer/patient satisfaction. She graduated from Ultimate Medical Academy with a diploma in Medical Administration as well as her Associates’ degree in Administrative Health Sciences. When not in the office she spends her days playing hide and seek with her daughter, as well spending time with family and friends.
Janet M. Henry, RN, CRNI
Janet joins New Hampshire Natural Health Clinic as a graduate of New Hampshire Technical Institute having specialized in Oncology, Urology, and IV Therapy. She has worked for over 20 years at Elliot Hospital and the most recent 16 years at Home Infusion as the Nurse Manager.
Josie McNeil, Naturopathic Assistant (NA)
Josie comes to our clinic with an impressive background (over 14 years) in healthcare, patient care and a unique set of cytopathology and clinical hematology skills. Her background includes undergraduate training in Biology with a specialization in Medical Technology, Cytopathology and Clinical Hematology from Rio de Janeiro Federal University (UFRJ), Brazil. Josie has extensive experience working for the American Red Cross as a Collection Specialist and with Silvestre Adventist Hospital (RJ, Brazil) as a Medical Technologist. At these organizations she completed blood draws, transfusions and administered IV’s, assisted with pre-op surgeries as well as performing tests and cryopreservation of Cells in a class 100,000 (ISO 8) clean room. When she is not working, Josie enjoys being with her daughter and husband and visiting her family in Brazil.
